OpenBook.US
Our Goal at
OpenBook.US is to equip students with the skills they need to
reach their potential and to provide opportunities for them to
experience the joy of real achievement. The tools we use to
achieve these ends are Phono-Graphix®
Reading Therapy and NILD Educational Therapy.
Phono-Graphix®
Reading Therapy
The Phono-Graphix®
Program teaches the basic code of the English language in an amazingly
simple fashion. The program is based on the latest in reading research
and has proven clinical and classroom results. This program is
being implemented in every English speaking country in the world .
It has revolutionized reading instruction by teaching a simple, sound
to symbol, sequential methodology for learning to read and spell
English.
NILD
Educational Therapy
NILD is an individualized educational therapy for students who have
been diagnosed with learning disabilities. In NILD therapy, the
student’s areas of weakness and deficits are strengthened using
academic and perceptual techniques. Therapy assists in developing
perceptual function and thinking skills. The goal of NILD Educational
Therapy is to equip students to succeed in the classroom and in life
as independent learners.
Testing
Initial testing will identify deficit areas and
provide insight into the appropriate strategy to design an
individualized learning program. Additional testing will be done
at appropriate intervals to evaluate progress.

"Our children recognize that
they can do this, they can learn to read. They are excited
and enthusiastic . They are now eager readers. We have had
great success”.

"My daughter has
developed clearer thinking. She understands questions and can
write complete answers that make sense. Before therapy, she was
confused and couldn’t complete work. She is doing so much better."
"My son has improved self esteem as well as improved academics.
He can understand his teachers and follow directions. His reading
and handwriting have both dramatically improved."
